Beatriz Rodriguez

Hello,  my name is Beatriz Adriana Rodriguez; I am from a small town in Texas.  I am a Professional Certified Coach/Counselor, LCDC., ADS.  I have a Masters in Human Services Counseling-Addictions and Recovery and a Masters’s in Multidisciplinary Studies-Life Coaching/Education from Liberty University.  I am also certified by Texas Medical Board as an Acudetox Specialist.  I am currently enrolled in a Doctorate program at Northcentral University.  I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, South Texas Literacy Center, and NADA.  I am a firm believer in education; I believe you should never stop learning!

Martha B. Marshall

LPC, ADS, 5NP Texas Founder/Registered Trainer

Martha Marshall is a licensed counselor for individuals and couples looking to improve their sense of well-being and relationship skills. Martha presents workshops on the mind-body connection, mindful self-compassion, and family dynamics, and leads outdoor meditation experiences. She is an Acudetox Specialist licensed by the Texas Medical Board for acupuncture to treat addictions. She serves with Operation Get Out, offering outdoor experiential retreats for first responders and military folks in trauma recovery and mental health. Martha has NOLS Wilderness First Aid certification. After advocating for the Texas acudetox law revision, she co-founded 5NP Texas to support statewide availability of this treatment to support mental health.

John Harvey

EdD, LPC-Supervisor, ADS, 5NP Texas Founder/Registered Trainer

John has been a proponent of holistic mental healthcare through Northwest Counseling for 25 years.  The center is state licensed and CARF accredited to provide intensive outpatient and outpatient programs to treat addictions, co-existing conditions, depression, anxiety, other symptoms of mental suffering.  John embraces integration of conventional Western psychotherapy and Eastern, contemplative practices encouraging clients to discover and utilize innate healing potential.  John is a practitioner of the acudetox 5-needle protocol and has been a NADA registered trainer of the procedure since 2001. After advocating for the Texas acudetox law revision, he co-founded 5NP Texas to support statewide availability of this treatment to support mental health.

Christine Koehler

Ph.D., LPC-Supervisor, RPT-Supervisor, ADS and a 5NP Texas Registered Trainer

Dr. Koehler uses a unique holistic and integrative approach to mental health diagnosis and treatment. In addition to her work with children and families in private practice, she provides training and supervision for beginning play therapists at a non-profit community agency in Dallas and teaches graduate level coursework as an adjunct professor at UNT in Denton, TX. Complementing her expertise, Christine has completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and holds certification as a holistic health coach through Epidemic Answers. In 2020, she expanded her practice to include equine-assisted therapy, offering enriching outdoor therapeutic experiences for children. Amid the pandemic, Christine embraced auricular therapies to support clients in managing stress during a time of heightened fear and uncertainty. She played a supportive role in legislative efforts and gave testimony to public health officials to expand the use of 5NP in Texas and continues to seek opportunities to share this and other holistic approaches to mind-body wellness.

Kifferie Corley

M.A., LPC, ADS, and a 5NP Texas Registered Trainer

Kifferie Corley trained to become a Licensed AcuDetox Specialist during her counselor internship with John at NCWC in 2011. She has now completed the Registered Trainer process with 5NP to be able to share this powerful tool with other clinicians looking for nonverbal ways to enhance their clients well-being. She has been utilizing this protocol for almost a decade as a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice on Galveston Island with clients suffering through addiction since then and is delighted to now be able to utilize the 5 needle protocol with all of her clients experiencing anxiety, depression and stress. This nonverbal tool has been a powerful way to build therapeutic rapport and pairs so well with the other mind body practices she offers her clients. She is trained in Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy as well as being Gottman trained to work with couples and utilize EcoTherapy to support individuals, families and couples in building sustainable coping tools to manage stress. She is currently expanding her offerings to include immersive, destination based retreats and nature based experiences with her husband for couples and women’s groups through Nurture Nature Within.

Kaity Stone

Kaity Stone is the owner and a mental health therapist at Open-Minded Counseling. She is a holistic practitioner that has been using mindfulness, meditation, and compassion practices within her work for over 10 years. Kaity is especially passionate about bringing affirmative and inclusive mental health and wellness practices to the LGBTQIA+ community. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. She has her ADS certification in Texas.
